Please Join Me in Giving A Warm Welcome to This Chicken Sandwich

Do you know what happened yesterday?!

A CHICK-FIL-A OPENED ON THE USC CAMPUS!!!!!

Yes, you read that right. Yesterday, the bustling metropolis of Los Angeles was FINALLY graced with the presence of our very own, brand new, shiny sparkling CHICK-FIL-A!!!!

You guys, I LOVE Chick-Fil-A. I was first introduced to this magical Southern fast-food delicacy during my freshman year of college. The University of Arizona Student Union was lucky enough to have one in our food court, conveniently located next to Panda Express and On Deck Deli, and at least three times a week, a group of friends and I would meet up in between classes for chicken sandwiches, sweet tea, and waffle fries.

When I graduated and realized that in addition to saying goodbye to my friends, sorority sisters, and roommates, I was also going to have to bid farewell to my beloved chicken sandwiches, I nearly had a nervous breakdown in the middle of the Student Union. I think I kicked the McDonalds sign, drank a gallon and a half of sweet tea on the spot, and started to cry.

um yes, i am eating my chick-fil-a breakfast with my sorority pin on.
this was moments after initiation.... what? i take both aephi and chicken biscuits very seriously.

No longer do I have to make a fucking ROAD TRIP to Orange County or Long Beach or Palm Springs when I’m in the mood for some delicious chicken-y goodness. (Which I’ve done more times than I care to count, if you want me to be honest. Being southern, my besties Anna and GB are ALWAYS down for some Chick-Fil-A, and the three of us have hopped in the car for a lunchtime road trip quiteeeee a few times.)

I had the pleasure of introducing my family to the CFA brilliance on our way to Palm Springs once. This may have been years ago (2008 if I remember correctly), but please enjoy this brief photo gallery. The Silvemans do love chicken.

"look daddy! chick-fil-a! you have to try it!"

now the fam is getting into it. we love posing.

oh, pure joy.

of course we took some for the road. here's mama feeding daddy-o as he drives.

And of course, the food is delicious, but the best part of Chick-Fil-A is always hanging out with the cow :)

Welcome to LA, Chick-Fil-A! I will be by very shortly to introduce myself :) See you all there!

OMG! I'm moving to LA to get married to my fiancé! Coincidentally, his name is Jordan. :)) I'm going to demand for him to take me to Chick-Fil-A! :D

Thanks for sharing!
