I'm Not Irish But You Can Kiss Me Anyway

Today is St. Patrick’s Day. I could not care less. In the grand scheme of things that I care about, St. Patrick’s Day ranks at the bottom of the totem pole, somewhere between Paris Hilton and learning exactly how the game of football works.

Other holidays I am not fond of:

  • Halloween - I believe in wearing costumes every day, not just at the end of October. Also, girls who wear nothing but bras in public irritate me.
  • Valentine’s Day - I also believe in telling the people who you love that you love them all the time, not just when God, the government, and Hallmark tell you to. Although I like that everything around this time is pink and sparkly, I abhor those small candy hearts. They taste like chalk.
  • New Year’s Eve - NYE makes everyone act like if they’re not at THE. BIGGEST. BESTEST. PARTY. OF. ALL. TIME, then their night was unsuccessful. I do not subscribe to this theory and therefore am not a fan. Also, it takes FOREVER to get a cab.
  • Yom Kippur - Um, we spend this holiday not eating, thus its inclusion on this list. Duh. I do appreciate the whole “clean slate” thing - as I am someone who NEEDS IT - but every Yom Kips ends with too many bagels to my face and a massive hunger headache.

Anyways, St. Patrick’s Day is not significant to my life, as the concept of both leprechauns and green beer frighten me. HOWEVER... I will honor the holiday in my own way, by posting a series of random yet delightful photos of me wearing the color green!

Don't worry, that parrot is not real

If St. Patrick’s Day is your thing, hope you had a fantastic one!
