Happy Mother's Day Mommy!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies who read this blog! I hope you all have a fabulous day.

But let's talk about MY mom!

I came home the other day to find her arranging these little bouquets of flowers. “What are they for?” I asked. “No reason,” she said. “I just got it in my little head to make them!”

That is exactly the kind of person my mom is. She likes to make little flower arrangements for absolutely no reason. She is super girly all day and then happily goes out to the Dodger game and cheers her heart out. She is the world’s best advice giver, which I know for sure because zillions of people call her every day to ask for her opinion on lots of different things. And she is the only person I know who loves sparkly things more than I do!

How could you NOT love this woman? She is probably the cutest lady in the world.

And now, in honor of my mom on Mother’s Day, I have written her a poem as a little surprise:

Today is Mommy’s special day,

So I’ll post in a very special way.

My mom is the best, there truly is no other.

I may be the Queen, but she’s the Queen Mother!

No matter what we’re doing, we’re always having fun,

As far as moms go, she sure is number one.

Sushi is our favorite, she’s always down to go,

As long as she gets her spicy tuna she will go with the flow.

She’s the only gal I know who likes to shop more than me,

She gets the good deals and sales until things are almost free!

I like Neimans, but she loves Ross Dress for Less,

At night you’ll find us on the couch watching Say Yes to the Dress.

She’s a very busy lady, with her bowling and mahjong days,

And she likes to drink in Newport til she’s in a sangria haze.

Bejeweled Blitz is her favorite game, she plays it every night,

And then clicks on my blog to read the crazy things I write!

She’s supportive and hilarious and generous and smart,

Her red hair is famous, it’s like a work of art.

She is the most beautiful and brilliant mommy in the world,

I am so happy I’m her number one girl.

I think I am done, I just want to say,

Mommy, have an AMAZING Mother’s Day!
