Another Birthday Poem for Beckles!

Holy shit. Today is Gerrick's birthday! My best friend is 27! So to celebrate, as is my tradition, it's time for a birthday poem :)

Crazy but true! A whole year has passed,

365 days passed super fast.

A lot has changed in only one year,

Except our friendship, which remains so dear!

Every day at 8:06, I get in my car,

And I call Gerrick, in Texas so far.

I drive to work while we chat all the while,

I get off the phone and I can't help but smile :)

Just the sound of my bestie's voice brightens my day,

It really doesn't matter what she's got to say,

We chat about boys, sushi, work, puppies and more,

Nothing with Gerrick is ever a bore.

We both have iPhones so no more BBms,

But now FACETIME bothers all of our friends,

I hold up the phone to see Gerr's smiling face,

It doesn't matter if I'm in a public place!

The biggest change of all will happen real soon,

In July of next year, right after June.

She will walk down the aisle and say "I do!"

Then she'll be a Conroy, it'll be Gerrick who!?

So many years of friendship, so many more to come,

So much laughter, so many memories, and so much fun!

Today's her special day and for that we celebrate,

Because Rebecca Gerrick is pretty fucking great!
