Happy New Year! I can’t believe I started this blog in 2009 and it’s already 2012. Time flies when you’re having fun!
Tomorrow I will fill you all in on Puerto Rico, but I’m still riding the high of New Years Eve so let’s talk about that first. How did you celebrate? I threw a party!
It was so fun! My bestie Jacob from Memphis came into town on Thursday night, and the two of us, along with Greene Bean and Rami, spent Friday and Saturday prepping for the party. We cleaned the apartment til it was sparkling, hung banners, cooked, baked, made jello shots, and stocked up on booze. All the ingredients for a fabulous bash!
Here’s the feast. Doesn’t it look delicious? We served caviar blinis, goat cheese & fig crostini, mini sausages, baked brie, a veggie plate, proscuitto wrapped dates, and a delicious sushi platter. And Greene Bean baked red velvet cupcakes and homemade whoopie pies - YUM! We are the hostesses with the mostest :)
BESTIE IN TOWN!!!!!
Other fabulous partiers :)
At midnight I whipped out champagne, turned on the TV to watch the ball drop, and the whole party celebrated with a toast. It was a great way to end 2011, surrounded by some of my favorite people!
My adorable New Year's kiss :)
BTW, I wore a new Diane von Furstenberg dress, polka dotted tights, suede wedges and a gorgeous (but old!) rainbow-colored statement necklace from Banana Republic. I was cozy and comfy and still a bit glittery!
Hope you all had a fabulous NYE, whether you spent it out on a dance floor or cozy on a couch. I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings!
Love the dress! (and tights and necklace)
