Here we are, DAYS into 2012, and I haven’t even finished filling you in on some adventures from 2011 yet! Pardon my tardiness, but I do want to share some fun pictures from Puerto Rico!
This year’s Dysfunctional Family Vacation was surprisingly... not at all dysfunctional?! Yup, this was probably the most normal and low-key of any DFV I can remember. We spent our days on the beach and our nights at yummy dinners (and then in the casino, obviously). We had a lot of fun!
Off to a great start... shenanigans in the airport...
It ain’t Christmas Eve without a forty-five ounce ribeye!
First night out - in the casino with the grandmother (we’re all still pale).
View our first day... not too shabby.
This may have been the evening that our taxicab driver tried to sell us weed. However, his aggressive driving was a source of attraction to my grandmother... who asked him if he was single.
Delicious plate of seafood, nom nom nom...
The only good part about the humidity - natural curls!
BARELY taller than my baby cousins, even in my five-inch fuchsia wedges!
We stayed at the El San Juan Resort. Our gorgeous pool view!
Bailey and her boyfriend FINALLY arrive! All the cousins with special guest JMDV :)
Three musketeers?
Four generations, four slot machines :)
I had to leave the trip a little early to get back to work, which was a bummer, but it was time - I had sun poisoning and am STILL covered in a million bug bites. However, I DID manage to read all three Hunger Games books... and I’m OBSESSED! Any of you fans out there? I NEED to discuss!
All in all, it was a lot of fun :) Puerto FREAKO indeed!
(PS. Some of these photos were taken with my iPhone and posted on Instagram. I'm obsessed. Are we following each other? Find me - @queenjord!)
Your trip looks like so much fun!!! I finished the third book last night (3 books in 3 days). Loved them! We definitely can discuss.
ReplyDeleteomg I LOVE the El San Juan resort - looks like you guys had a BLAST!
