My boyfriend is quite a darling. Not only does he rub my back when it hurts, remember my complicated Starbucks order, and allow me to drag him to the mall, but he also indulges my childlike requests (of course, I indulge his - remember our visit to the ZOO?!)
So when I mentioned (ie, demanded) that I might like to visit a pumpkin patch this month, he immediately agreed and we set a date for an afternoon visit to the pumpkin patch yesterday!
OH WAS IT FUN. We visited Tapia Brothers Farm, right in my neighborhood, and spent a glorious hour walking amongst a jillion fat orange pumpkins and enjoying the sunshine.
There were a few animals there too - Rami spotted a turkey, screamed “TURKEY!” at the top of his lungs, and ran over to inspect the turkey cage, but I was more interested in the goats. Goats are my favorite animal.
I OBVIOUSLY insisted that we pose for photos as pumpkins. Sometimes I think he probably hates me :) Also, I may have knocked some small children off the hay in my haste to get my face up to the little slot... something my boyfriend THE TEACHER definitely did not approve of.
“I cannot talk now, I am busy lugging Jordan’s pumpkin that she refuses to hold because it’s ‘dirty.’” Mere seconds after I snapped this photo, he put the pumpkin down and went to buy a bacon-wrapped hot dog. My dream man.

And of course, I got a pumpkin! Two, actually. I couldn’t choose between the two I liked - one small and one medium - so Rami bought me both.
Such a fun afternoon! Thank you to my dear boyfriend for indulging my request.
He doesn’t know it yet, but our next project will be DECORATING them! I’m thinking bedazzled pumpkins will look great :)
Awesome! Looks like you guys had so much fun AND I love the photo of the two of you in the Pumpkins.
